American skate imprint Bianca Chandôn teams with Vans to create a collection which pays homage to the long history of Vans in skateboarding. Each model is produced with a full canvas upper – no different to the pairs being worn by long-haired, free spirited kids surfing the sidewalks in the 1970's. The star pattern is drawn from archival references, giving the models an authentic period-correct feeling. Each shoe sports a heavily distressed finish, giving the perfect lived-in look without all of the funky smells.Possibly the style most synonymous with skateboarding and Vans, the SK8-Hi was literally made for it. Taking the popular sole unit from their boat shoes, the uppers on 'Style 38' were cut high to give more ankle support.
