The Air Force 1 is a shoe which transcends trend cycles and has played a part in just about every cultural scene at this point. Nike has proven themselves adept at capitalising on this but this one we didn't see coming: nail art! Nike design director Jessica Washick is a nail artist herself; no doubt something that helped to both inform and encourage this particular pair.The Swoosh and lace dubraes are made in a mottled blue/white effect that resemble gels painted into a cloudy blue sky. The insoles come equipped with a direct call-out to nail art, in case there was any doubt about the inspiration. You even get a tiny metal charm to dangle off the laces. Our favourite detail though? The teeny, tiny, micro-Swoosh on the forefoot – it's so small you almost wouldn't know until someone pointed it out.
