It’s hard to think of a piece of outerwear more ubiquitous than the bomber jacket. Few items have transitioned from battlefield to wardrobe as successfully. Almost everyone’s owned at least one, whether it’s authentic army surplus or a pleather regret from the charity shop.Angelo Urrutia from 4SDesigns understands the importance of this, setting out to reimagine, not reinvent, the wardrobe staple. As the name suggest, the sleeve is a split raglan construction. From the front you have a standard set-in construction with strong shoulder, whilst across the back the sleeve morphs into a raglan for comfort and range of motion. Would you have noticed if this wasn’t there? Probably not, but 4S is not about that.The melton wool plaid adds weight and warmth through a fabric you’d normally see used in a suit destined for the Italian countryside. The interior is lined with signature 4S viscose for a touch of luxury.
